Master's Eye
I was drawing one of my roleplay characters, Master, using Photoshop - and only salvaged the eye. I wasn't too happy with the rest, so it got scrapped.~2004
Vampire Lord
I don't recall the inspiration (if any, other than wanting to draw something badass) for this - but either way, it turned out well. I think I was dating Veronica at the time... hrm.(~2001 ?)

Burori, Adaptation.
When I discovered Dragonball Z, I immediately acquired all the moves. Burori became my favorite character, quite quickly - so I drew him. (~2000)
Overgrown Tokyo Begs to be an RPG Setting
I just came across an artist's work of a futuristic fantasy Tokyo that is overgrown with vegetation, and is amid reclamation by nature. Immediately, I thought that these images demanded a roleplaying game to go along with them, perhaps of the walk-through nature.
They came from a blog called Tokyo Genso (Tokyo Fantasy) - which has some altogether amazing works of art, so go check them out. :)
